History

Over 25 years of excellence and innovation in catalogue design – plus some very happy clients

A history of catalogue design

It was in 1993 that Tony Adams decided to strike out on his own and start up his own catalogue design agency.
After 10 fruitful years at Freemans building the creative department, he wanted to offer his creative insight to a wider variety of clients.
And so TA Design was born in a back bedroom in Brighton.

Significant catalogue clients

Despite these humble beginnings, TA Design already had a good reputation in the catalogue industry for combining creativity with practicality, for getting the best result from limited time and budgets, and for ensuring that catalogues not only looked good, but also sold effectively.
So our early clients included some well-known names – such as Scotts of Stow, Oxfam and The Complete Essentials.
As the agency grew we soon moved to a real office, and while we never forgot our fashion heritage, our clients also grew in variety as well as number.
So clients like Marks & Spencer and The Cashmere Company were joined by B2B clients like Jewson and The Consortium.

Enviable breadth of design experience

In fact, TA Design now works with clients in every conceivable business sector, including horticulture, homeware and health & fitness – and of course we always love working with charities.
We’re also equally happy working with small start-ups as we are with multi-nationals.
Awards are always nice of course, especially when they are voted for by clients – but it’s helping our clients of all shapes and sizes that keeps us fresh and keen!
